Protection of intellectual property: practice in pharmaceutical industry
Under this title on December 17, 2009 the 5th Professional Conference, organized by Expert Bureau of intellectual property and Conference House Company was taken place in Kyiv. The Legal Partner of the Conference was LF “Vasil Kisil and Partners”.
The Event’s Agenda represented 4 main panels:
1. Pharmaceutical industry – is a zone of high attention. Representatives from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, the European Business Association, the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, public organizations were invited to participation.
2. Current legislation in sphere of intellectual property and registration of medical means: requirements, innovations, conflicts.
3. Protection of intellectual property rights on objects used in the production, advertising, sale of drugs.
4. Features of the forensic examinations in cases of rights protection on objects of intellectual property in the field of pharmaceutical industry.
Olga Baula, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Deputy Director of the State Pharmacological Center MoH Ukraine, Director of the Department of Pharmaceutical Activity, Oksana Kondratyeva, Head of the department of unfair competition investigation, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Alexey Filatov, a partner of LF “Vasil Kisil & Partners”, Head of jurisprudence and practices in intellectual property rights, Alexander Doroshenko, Deputy Director for expert work, Institute of Intellectual Property Academy of Law of Ukraine, Serhiy Petrenko, head of the Center of expert studies on NRI intellectual property, and other experts in the field of intellectual property were among the spekers.
Representatives of the State Pharmacological Center MoH Ukraine, the State Department of Intellectual Property, forensic experts, judges, lawyers, lawyers, manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, their distributors, representatives of the media were invited to participation at the Conference.
